Departments

Departments primarily are used for tracking Staff within your organization. If you dont plan on tracking staff within the application, this can likely be safely skipped.

A Department is a functional unit within a Sector. While a Sector defines the operational branch (such as a convention or program), a Department defines the specific area of responsibility within that branch.

If a Sector represents "what we are running," a Department represents "who is responsible for which part."

Each department operates within its sector and helps organize volunteers, responsibilities, and reporting.
